This started life as two dancers caught in a standing pose with the ballerina arched like a bow against her partner. The clay wouldn’t take the strain and midway (and rather urgently!) they needed to be posed elegantly seated. The four legs and four arms gradually found their places around the upper bodies which (including the lovely arch in the back) were already established. This is my first attempt at a pair of figures and I love the variety of shapes created by their embrace.
